Intervention Integrity

What is intervention integrity, and why does it matter? It means delivering an intervention the way it was designed. Dr. VanDerHeyden calls it the part of intervention most closely tied to whether it works. For years, when an intervention “didn’t work,” schools just swapped it for another one. Students got stuck in endless cycles of intervention that rarely helped them.

Her advice is to plan on an intervention not being used well unless teachers are supported. SpringMath builds in that support with ready-to-use materials, automated data and a coach dashboard that shows where intervention is working and where it isn’t.
