Midyear Newsletter 2026

Warm Up With the Latest News from SpringMath

Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter which leaves us feeling a little cold, but just imagine the amount of math learning you and your students can accomplish in that time!

Grab a warm beverage and check out what’s inside this newsletter. Dr. Amanda VanDerHeyden shares why multiple strategies is not a fluency technique, you’ll learn the impact of classwide and individual intervention in Pennsylvania (the home state of that pesky groundhog!), and discover a few of our latest enhancements to SpringMath.

Enjoy!

SpringMath in Practice: Intervention Success in Pennsylvania

SpringMath helps educators move beyond scores to understand RTI impact. Within the product itself, SpingMath highlights students who have demonstrated successful RTI and connects those results to actionable next steps for educators. Take a look at two classroom examples that demonstrate the impact of SpringMath’s interventions.

New SpringMath Features

Have you been noticing new things in SpringMath? Our development team has been hard at work and you’ll continue to see changes and new features over the coming months. One big development is the launch of our new AI assistant. It can answer questions and guide you to helpful resources anytime you need them.

We’re continuing to enhance the Coach Dashboard, adding reports and other features to make it easier for coaches to support teachers. We have also adjusted the high school skill sequence to facilitate better progress for your high school students.

If you missed the December Community meeting, you can watch the recording. We’ve included timestamps of the topics and questions discussed so you can quickly find exactly what you need.

Catch Up on the Science of Success Speaker Series

We wrapped up this school year’s Science of Success Speaker Series with a conversation with Dr. Robin S. Codding about instructional science. You can watch that session, and the rest of the incredible conversations Dr. VanDerHeyden had with the members of our Scientific Advisory Board, any time you’d like.
