Teacher working with students in a classroom

The Clearest Path to Math Mastery for Every Student and Every Classroom.

SpringMath brings together screening, targeted classwide instruction, progress monitoring, and individual intervention so K–12 teachers know exactly what to teach, and every student has a clear path to grade-level math mastery, in just 15 minutes a day.

Math Achievement Hasn't Improved in 20 Years. Change That for Your Students.

Students don't struggle with math because they can't learn it. They struggle because they're missing the foundational skills that every next concept depends on. Without a clear system to identify and close those gaps, teachers are left guessing. Guessing costs time and time is something no classroom has enough of.

The SpringMath comprehensive MTSS solution brings together screening, targeted classwide instruction, daily practice, progress monitoring, and individual intervention into a data-driven solution that provides a clear roadmap for teachers to close persistent math learning gaps. It supplements your core math curriculum so teachers spend more time teaching grade-level content, and less time reteaching it.

How SpringMath Works

A Clear, Repeatable Cycle That Strengthens Foundational Math Skills Every Week

Screening identifies what the class knows and doesn’t know. Daily classwide intervention closes the gap. Weekly progress monitoring shows what's working. And when individual students need more, targeted support is already built in — no extra steps or manual analysis.

Everything teachers need: scripted lessons, paper-based student materials and next-step guidance, is generated automatically each week based on progress monitoring data.

Four Connected Components. One Seamless System.

Universal Screening

Three times a year, a brief 15-minute screener pinpoints classwide and individual learning needs. Results automatically power classwide and individual intervention, no data analysis required of teachers.

Explore Universal Screening
Weekly Progress Monitoring

Progress monitoring is built into the weekly routine. At the end of each week, the system identifies who responded and who didn't and generates the following week's materials accordingly. Where traditional progress monitoring takes 6–8 weeks to prompt an adjustment, SpringMath can make up to 7 updates, moving students to mastery faster.

When more than half the class is missing a skill, structured classwide intervention addresses it during regular instructional time. Scripted lessons and paper-based practice materials are generated weekly, automatically updated based on the latest data.

Explore Classwide Intervention

When a student doesn’t respond to classwide intervention, SpringMath automatically generates the small-group and individual intervention lessons for the next week to target the skill. Teachers deliver the scripted lessons in just an additional 15 minutes a day.

Built on Purpose. Backed by 20+ Years of Research.

Dr. Amanda VanDerHeyden has spent her career studying what actually works in math instruction and building tools that put that science into teachers' hands. SpringMath is the result: a complete math MTSS solution grounded in the science of learning, tested in real classrooms, and refined over decades. During the 2025–26 school year alone, students reached skills mastery 1.4 million times.

What Makes SpringMath Different

A lot of programs promise results. Here's what sets SpringMath apart.

  • Demonstrated Growth

In randomized controlled trials, students were half as likely to fail state math assessments. Schools see stronger Tier 1 performance, fewer students in intensive intervention, and gains that build year over year. SpringMath is highly rated by the National Center for Intensive Intervention.
  • Cost-Effective

Addressing gaps at the classwide level first means fewer students need costly Tier 2 and Tier 3 services. Research shows classwide intervention delivered this way is more effective at raising math achievement than a curriculum change.
  • Teacher-Led, Screen-Free

Scripted lessons and paper-based materials put teachers in control and keep students focused. Writing, paired practice, and structured routines build math fluency and confidence.
  • Responsive to Student Learning Needs

The program adapts every week. Interventions are automatically updated based on the most recent data so instruction is always aligned with where students actually are and moving them toward where they need to be.

Getting Started

SpringMath is a K–12 math MTSS program that gives teachers a complete, data-driven system for screening, classwide intervention, progress monitoring, and individualized support — all in 15 minutes a day. After a brief universal screening identifies where students stand, the program automatically generates scripted lessons, paper-based practice materials, and targeted intervention routines every week, updated based on how students are actually progressing.

The Program

SpringMath is the only supplemental math program that addresses the full K–12 MTSS cycle, starting at the Tier 1 classwide level, not just with Tier 2 or Tier 3 students in isolation. Classwide intervention serves as a built-in second screening gate, helping distinguish students who need intensive support from those who simply need consistent, targeted practice. Because the program updates instruction every week based on real data, it adjusts far more frequently than intervention programs built around 6–8 week assessment cycles.

Evidence & Results

SpringMath is backed by more than 20 years of peer-reviewed research, including multiple randomized controlled trials. In those trials, students using SpringMath were half as likely to fail their state math assessments. The program is among the highest-rated math MTSS tools by the National Center for Intensive Intervention (NCII), and in the 2025–26 school year, SpringMath students reached skills mastery 1.4 million times.

Implementation Support

SpringMath Accelerate offers three tiered professional learning packages: Guided Start, Accelerate, and Mastery. Guided Start is required for all new districts and covers leader and teacher onboarding to ensure strong implementation from the start. Accelerate and Mastery packages provide deeper ongoing support, including additional teacher sessions, leader data check-ins, monthly coaching, and advanced training. Embedded coaching tips, online resources, and printable guides are available in the SpringMath platform so your team will have the support they need, when they need it.
